What we collect and why
Server logs. When you visit our site, our server automatically records technical data such as your browser type and version, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, date and time of access, and your IP address. We use this only to deliver and secure the site and to diagnose problems. We do not use it to identify you, and it is stored separately from any other data.
Analytics (Google Analytics). With your consent, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use our site (for example, which pages are viewed and for how long). Google Analytics uses cookies and processes data such as your IP address on our behalf. Analytics is only activated after you consent via our cookie banner; if you do not consent, no analytics cookies are set. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services here: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and read Google’s privacy policy here: Google Privacy Policy. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Email contact. Our site links to our email address. If you email us, we process the data you send (your address and message content) solely to respond to you.
Cookies & consent
We use cookies and similar technologies. Cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work are always active. Non-essential cookies, such as those used for Google Analytics, are only set with your consent.
We use a consent management tool (Complianz) to obtain and record your choices. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the cookie settings on our site, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you decline, some features may not work fully.
Legal basis
We rely on your consent for Google Analytics and any non-essential cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / Art. 6 FADP), which you can withdraw at any time with future effect. For operating and securing the website itself (server logs), we rely on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / Art. 31 FADP). Where you contact us by email, we process your data to respond to your request.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Server logs are deleted routinely after a short period. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings configured in our account and Google’s own retention periods. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request and any applicable legal retention obligations.
Recipients and hosting
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site, and only as needed:
- Hosting: our website is hosted by Metanet AG (Switzerland). Server data is processed in Switzerland.
- Analytics: Google (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) processes analytics data on our behalf as a data processor.
Transfers outside Switzerland / the EU
Google Analytics may transfer data to Google servers in the United States. Such transfers are based on appropriate safeguards, in particular the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards recognised under Swiss law, together with Google’s data processing terms. You can request more information about these safeguards at the contact address above.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, and its correction, deletion or restriction. Where applicable under the GDPR, you also have the right to data portability and to object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. Under Swiss law you may lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); under the GDPR, with your local supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email us at info@cloud26.ch.
Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
Changes
We may update this policy. The current version always applies and is published on this page.
